Cody has spent the past four years immersed in the study and practice of Zhineng Qigong, a healing system rooted in ancient wisdom and modern science. He was first drawn to the practice during a challenging period in his life—when physical pain and a sense of disconnection left him searching for something deeper. In Zhineng Qigong, he found not only relief, but also a powerful tool for transformation and self-connection.

Originally from out of state, Cody has called Green River home for the past nine years. Despite fulfilling his dream of living among canyons and cottonwoods, he realized something was still missing—until Qigong helped him reconnect with his inner self and sense of purpose. Since then, he has committed himself to ongoing study and sharing this life-affirming practice with others.

Cody teaches from a place of lived experience, humility, and curiosity. His approach is welcoming, inclusive, and rooted in the belief that healing and growth are possible for everyone. Through group practice, he supports participants in discovering the inner tools needed to foster vitality, presence, and wholeness.

Hi, I’m Drew! I own and operate San Miguel Wellness.   I am a career bodyworker and teacher and have lived and worked in the Moab area for 30 years.  I feel fortunate to have a livelihood pursuing two of my main top passions—Tai Chi and specialized bodywork for chronic pain and injury recovery. I’ve studied many different styles of massage/bodywork over the years and am currently experiencing excellent results with Push Therapy/Root Fx and Tibetan + Yang Style Tai Chi. In all of these we start out slow, releasing tension as we learn how to feel and develop not just core strength but how to use your core properly to release old chronic tension, gain mobility, and experience true grounding and rooting so you can do the activities in life that you love and need to do as you age.  Learning to cultivate your own chi properly gives one many health benefits over time which is a valuable skill in itself to take into your life.  My website is www.smwr.abmp.com  I look forward to meeting you soon!

Kathy is a certified Ayurveda Health Counselor with over 25 years of experience as a nurse. Her path into holistic health began with a background in Recreation Resource Management and early training as a Wilderness EMT, where she developed a deep interest in how the body responds to injury, illness, and recovery.

Over time, Kathy felt called to explore a more whole-person approach to care. She discovered that many of the practices she had been intuitively following aligned with Ayurveda, a 5,000-year-old system of health focused on supporting balance in daily life.

Kathy brings a thoughtful, practical approach to her work, helping others build simple, sustainable routines that support long-term well-being.

Katie Grauel is a certified Rolfer® and Board Certified Structural Integrator, and owns/operates Moab Rolfing®. Rolfing® structural integration is a holistic manual therapy and movement education that strives to bring greater ease and awareness to posture and movement, resulting in less effort and pain. In her private practice, Katie works with clients through hands-on bodywork and movement to ease the patterns of tension held within the facial matrix of the body. In group classes, she guides participants through their own somatic exploration and instructs Rolf Movement® practices that can be effective self-care tools for those dealing with chronic injuries or pain.  Katie seeks to engage her clients as active participants in their own healing process, which begins with awareness of sensation and perception, allowing for the possibility to build new healthy patterns of movement and being.  Katie first moved to Moab in 2014 as an intern for Community Rebuilds, and has worked for the Colorado Outward Bound School for the last 10 years as well, so has plenty of first-hand experience with the challenges and joys of physical work.  She loves helping people find solutions for their body so they can pursue their professions and passions without pain!

Maja first stepped onto the yoga mat as a teenager, seeking relief from back pain — and instead found a lifelong path. Her true journey unfolded in Charlottesville, Virginia, where the heat of a hot-yoga studio sparked a deep realization: movement and stillness, body and mind, are inseparable. Yoga became not just exercise, but a way of listening inward.

After moving to California, Maja completed her 200-hour Vinyasa teacher training, learning to center her practice around the breath — the bridge between presence, strength, and ease. Her path has since led her from the ocean breeze of the Outer Banks to the red desert

Rob Neilson (he/him)

Mesa Owen is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) whose work as a therapist is grounded in mindfulness, presence, and a deep respect for each person’s natural capacity to heal and grow. She believes that growth in therapy unfolds through awareness, safety, and authentic connection.

Mesa began practicing mindfulness after stumbling across a meditation group in college. Completely new to meditation, she was surprised by how beneficial a single session was for soothing her nervous system and helping her to feel more content. Inspired by the experience, she committed to continuing the practice and sharing it with others through her work.

Mesa draws inspiration from the many places she has lived, including Paradox, CO; New York City; Philadelphia; Asheville, NC; Spain; and now Moab. Moab holds a special place in her heart—she lived here as a child and has returned to share it with her own children.

On a mellow day, Mesa enjoys gardening, block printing, and sipping chai tea.

Hey, I'm Thomas Zimmerman! I'm honored to serve the Moab  community as a paramedic and now through the Wellness Collective and Recovery Dharma meetings. During the past fifteen years working in the medical field I've witnessed the impact of western medicine and its approach to healing.  These experiences have deepened my empathy for the suffering of others and sparked my interest in exploring holistic pathways to health and well-being. My own journey has shown me the integral role of breath, mindfulness, music, and community to propel us towards a deeper wellness and flow with life. I’m currently embracing the journey to become a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator, excited to explore and share practices that support people where they're at and allow them their own unique and intuitive way forward.
